Allied Universal in Santa Monica, CA seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to perform site screening, assist tenants and visitors, and support security operations with flexible, reliable hours.

Responsibilities include screening individuals and packages, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and patrolling. Minimums: 18+ (21+ for armed), high school diploma, background check, drug screen; driver’s license required for driving roles where applicable.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property personnel by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and/or personal items entering designated areas in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation before entry to controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, building access points, and surrounding property areas to identify unusual conditions and support security operations.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Personal Screening in Santa Monica, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
