Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Ontario, CA. This flexible, part-time site-based role offers reliable hours with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $21.49 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and optional additional shifts across multiple sites. The position emphasizes customer service, routine patrols, access control, incident response, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government human services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a public-service environment.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
