Pay rate is $21.11 per hour with a fixed anchor shift and an opportunity to increase earnings via the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. This position supports a dynamic client site and provides a path toward fuller schedules.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screening are required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and surrounding areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, documenting observations and shift activity.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions and reporting maintenance or operational concerns.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Customer Care in Buffalo, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat 08:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating information through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading zones, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document observations, incidents, and shift activity accurately.
• Support a professional environment by providing directions, reporting maintenance or operational concerns, and communicating respectfully with site personnel and the public.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
