Allied Universal in Portland, OR is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed - Non-Driving. This role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with opportunities to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $20.70 per hour. Responsibilities include customer service, access control, patrols, and incident response. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR and additional credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: access control and badge experience (preferred).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and facility perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor/contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations and actions.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation and communicate security information to site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed - Non-Driving in Portland, OR, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (\"Anchor Shifts\"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant security-related information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
