Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Documentation in Salinas, CA. The role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $18.90 per hour. The position supports a part-time schedule with on-site duties and opportunities to scale toward a full-time schedule as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, production‑area access points, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports for security‑related incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site‑specific protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Observe conditions that may affect operations or facility access and promptly report hazards, damaged equipment, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Job Schedule

• Thur: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
