Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Glendale, CA. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform to boost earnings.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, exterior perimeter, and adjacent common areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity.


• Monitor access points and observe visitor, customer, and employee activity while maintaining a professional, welcoming presence consistent with a luxury retail environment.


• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.


• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.


• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.


• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
