Allied Universal in Richmond, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Continuity to provide reliable, flexible coverage at a government location. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining experience.

Pay is $20.95 per hour with a daytime schedule that includes shifts from 05:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Continuity in Richmond, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon05:00 PM - 12:30 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with established policies; document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Maintain professional communication with government personnel, community members, and responding agencies while following Allied Universal and site‑specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
