Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Associate in Marina Del Rey, CA. The role offers fixed shifts with an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program for additional hours, and a potential path toward a full-time schedule up to 40 hours per week.

Pay rate is $21.50 per hour with a six-month anchor shift commitment and opportunities to pick up extra shifts across sites. The position emphasizes customer service, patrols, and incident response in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and/or maintenance concerns through required reports and communicate relevant information to site management.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.
