Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and help enforce site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related concerns in required reports and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
