Allied Universal in Shakopee, MN is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time to provide dependable coverage at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office, technology, media, and telecommunications areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and assigned security-related systems; verify credentials and direct guests according to site-specific procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Panel Driver in Shakopee, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.60 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
