Allied Universal, the leading security and facility services company in North America, seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Harlingen, TX. The role provides flexible, reliable hours with fixed anchor shifts and optional extra shifts to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour. The schedule is Mon 01:00 PM - 06:30 PM, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts across sites and build toward full-time hours while maintaining flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail grocery customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Level III Armed Driver in Harlingen, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 01:00 PM - 06:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
