Allied Universal, the leading security and facility services company in North America, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Experienced Armed Patrol in Columbus, OH. This role offers fixed shifts with an optional earned-shift program to increase earnings and gain experience across sites.

Pay rate is $24.00 per hour. The position emphasizes reliable hours, scale-able part-time to full-time up to 40 hours weekly, and a path toward career growth within a welcoming, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual or suspicious activity.
• Maintain a visible professional presence while supporting a welcoming environment for customers and staff.

Saturday: 08:45 AM - 01:45 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
