Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an industrial manufacturing site following site-specific procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, processing visitors, maintaining entry records, and directing individuals.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of entry points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other locations to identify unusual activity.
• Maintain logs and reports for visitor activity, incidents, inspections, and security matters; communicate with site personnel and leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Operations in Brownsville, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, maintaining entry records, and directing individuals according to site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and other designated locations to help identify unusual activity or access-control concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitor activity, incidents, inspections, and other security-related matters while communicating professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
