Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Governance in Coral Gables, FL. The role provides fixed shifts with a platform to pick extra shifts and increase earnings, offering flexibility for part-time income growth.

You will perform access control, verify credentials, and respond to incidents while maintaining records and supporting site security operations.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and the public per access control policies.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials and entry requirements.
• Maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records and report concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and surrounding areas; report unusual activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Governance in Coral Gables, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and entry requirements in accordance with established procedures for a government location.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records and communicate access‑related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, public areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
