Allied Universal in Columbia, MO is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driving Patrol to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program allowing extra shifts across multiple sites, with the potential for a schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and hazards; report observations to store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and customer concerns calmly and in accordance with site protocols.
• Assist with access control, receipt verification, and documentation of incidents and activities.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driving Patrolin Columbia, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

DayTimeMon06:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations to appropriate store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following site‑specific protocols.
• Assist with access control, receipt verification when assigned, and documentation of incidents, observations, and security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
