Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Route Patrol in SHADY GROVE, PA. This role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts and work toward a full‑time career with the industry leader.

Pay rate is $18.50/hour. A valid driver’s license is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles) with a high school diploma or equivalent. Background checks and drug screens apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transportation location personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, escalating matters per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transportation facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, hazards, damaged property, and/or policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per site-specific requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Route Patrol in SHADY GROVE , PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
