Allied Universal in Columbus, OH is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Systems to provide access control, customer service, and incident response at a retail site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and a program to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

You must have a valid driver’s license; alarm panel, CPR/First Aid, and badge-experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to retail store associates, customers, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to designated entrances, employee‑only areas, and delivery locations; verify credentials and maintain visitor and contractor entry records.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting security‑related activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location, stock areas, receiving areas, and surrounding perimeter to help identify unauthorized access and unusual activity.
• Maintain a professional presence that helps support an orderly shopping environment and helps deter unauthorized entry or theft‑related activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Systems in Columbus, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
