Allied Universal in Nazareth, PA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver/Alarm Escalation to provide reliable, flexible hours at an assigned site. The role supports security and facility operations with responsive incident handling and customer service.

You’ll work a fixed anchor shift with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling earnings growth while pursuing a longer-term security career with the industry leader.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal driver policy.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate logs.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity and security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and resolve issues with site contacts and emergency responders.
• Support logistics and distribution operations by directing visitors and drivers to designated areas and maintain professional communication at the front desk.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License:

  • All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is essential for roles that require driving as part of job responsibilities.

• Additional Qualifications:

  • While not mandatory, the following qualifications are beneficial and may enhance a candidate’s application:
    • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Experience in managing access control systems or badge issuance is advantageous for positions involving security or facility management.
    • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets is required for roles that involve digital communication, data entry, or software usage.
    • Customer Service Experience (B219): Previous experience in customer service is highly valued, as it demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, front desk protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communication systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and security‑related incidents according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Support logistics and distribution operations by directing visitors and drivers to designated areas and maintaining professional communication with personnel at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
