Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Control access to the site by verifying credentials, documenting entries, and directing authorized personnel.
• Monitor entry/exit points, gates, and delivery traffic; maintain access logs and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Issuance in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the distribution center by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entries, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle gates, and delivery traffic; maintain accurate access logs and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
