Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer for an Access Point Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT. The role offers reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $19.00 per hour, with a DayTime schedule and a Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM shift. You may anchor a fixed schedule for six months and expand work across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities and access points.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials and documenting entries and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents and alarms, notifying appropriate personnel and filing reports.
• Assist with maintaining orderly flow at shipping and receiving areas and report issues.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Point Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of logistics and distribution facilities, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly flow of vehicles and personnel at shipping and receiving areas while reporting damaged property, suspicious activity, and policy concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
