Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Monitoring in Minneapolis, MN. This role offers reliable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific security procedures and emergency responses.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter of a technology‑focused corporate location.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, escalating concerns as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal requirements.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Monitoring in Minneapolis, MN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.73 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSun11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
