Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• All Allied Universal candidates with criminal histories will be considered in compliance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and document activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and solve problems related to access, deliveries, and emergency notifications.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Maintain logs, complete reports, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Boise, ID, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify authorized access, and document visitor, driver, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access concerns, delivery-related issues, and emergency notifications.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
