Qualifications

• 2+ years of security-related experience.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates.
• Monitor access points; verify credentials and manage entry.
• Respond to incidents and escalations per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding areas.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Operations in Swedesboro, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access‑related records for a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site‑specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, operational concerns, and security‑related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
