Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Operations in Washington, DC. You will staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify access, and ensure security procedures are followed at a designated site with flexible hours and the option to pick up additional shifts.

The role offers a part-time schedule with a fixed anchor shift and the potential to earn more through the claim-a-shift program; prior security and CPR credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Staff the front desk area, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, and direct guests, vendors, and delivery personnel in accordance with property procedures.
• Monitor access points, lobby activity, and available security-related systems, reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, and shift communications, and provide clear information to incoming personnel and property management.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Operations in Washington, DC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.44 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
