Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Judicial Screening in West Palm Beach, FL. This part-time role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up additional hours through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

Pay rate is $19.85 per hour, with a schedule including daytime Thursday and Friday shifts. The role focuses on visitor screening, access control, and incident response at a government facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum: three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or five years of security experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
• A guard card or license is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Screen visitors, belongings, and authorized deliveries using established entry-control procedures and screening equipment, escalating prohibited or questionable items in accordance with site protocols.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor, screening, and incident documentation; conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas and nearby perimeter locations as directed.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
