Pay is $18.04 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and an option to work extra shifts through our scheduling platform, delivering income stability and practical experience in campus safety.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge systems experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required; drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply and valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; environments may vary.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report observations to management.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity and maintenance concerns to support campus security.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Flex in Saint Louis, MO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazardous conditions, and maintenance concerns to help support a secure learning environment.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
