Allied Universal in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Customer Service to provide reliable, friendly security support at a busy retail site. This part-time role offers flexible hours, including weekday evenings, with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will deliver professional customer service, conduct patrols, monitor activity, and follow site procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor store activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports in accordance with site‑specific procedures.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Customer Service in Albuquerque, NM, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed04:15 PM - 10:15 PMThur04:15 PM - 10:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
