Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Emergency Readiness in Jeffersonville, IN. You will provide security and customer service for a technology-focused location, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and responding to incidents while following site procedures.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 (21 for armed roles), hold a high school diploma, CPR certification preferred, and will undergo background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
• Prepare clear and timely reports of incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns for site leadership and Allied Universal management.
