Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Credential Checker in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a premier commercial real estate location as an Access Control Officer in a driving post. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and complete routine patrols to help support a secure environment while providing outstanding customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, act with integrity, and handle daily security-related responsibilities with professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing access control points, and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and/or credentialing processes to help control authorized access, verify visitor information, and document security-related activities according to site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help identify security-related concerns and report maintenance and/or life property issues.
• Support tenant and visitor experience by providing directions, answering questions, and maintaining awareness of building activity while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
