Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Driver Badge Administration in Houston, TX. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct patrols, manage access, and remain visible to deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service.

This full-time driving role requires a valid driver’s license. Pay rate is $16.50 per hour with day and overnight shifts listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the job location state.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles) and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required. Licensing may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and maintain logs/reports.
• Support access control, delivery coordination, and compliance with site requirements.

As a Security Officer Driver Badge Administration in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access, and remain visible to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Support access control, delivery coordination, and compliance with site-specific requirements while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
