Job summary

Career Systems Development Corporation in Troutdale, OR seeks a security/driver to enforce safety policies and transport students to vocational sites and activities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
• Transports students by automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc.
• Maintains Student Accountability logs for students entering / exiting the center
• Conducts approved searches and Safety inspections of visitors, staff and students as necessary.
• Receives complaints and makes appropriate preliminary investigations.
• Provides escort service as directed.
• Issues visitor passes.
• Participates in the disciplinary process as established at the center, including zero tolerance for violence and drugs.
• May supervise students on various activities, such as recreation, medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all Center vehicles.

Job Summary:

Responsible for enforcing all laws, rules and policies authorized by the Safety and Security Department and supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Schedule Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• Patrols assigned areas and remains alert for disturbances, fires, safety hazards, traffic violators, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions.
• Maintains Student Accountability logs for students entering / exiting the center

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Preferred:

Three to six months experience in a security or work-related capacity, Class B License with passenger/air brake endorsement preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of crowd control techniques preferred. Knowledge of law enforcement procedures preferred. Possess a valid state driver's license. Ability to obtain a bus driver's license. Must maintain CPR/FA Certification. Familiarity with problems of underprivileged, minority groups, especially youth. Good writing skills. Excellent communication skills.
