UCLA Health seeks a Security Officer to safeguard assets, patients, and staff within their Health Sciences Center. Duties include conducting regular patrols, enforcing policies, and responding to incidents, necessitating a strong background in security practices and effective communication skills.

Your role involves protecting all assets, staff, patients, and visitors at the Center for Health Sciences. Security Officers conduct regular patrols, document activities and incidents, and may serve in a lead capacity. You will enforce policies and state laws, adhere to all guidelines including regulatory requirements, and ensure the building is secured after hours.
Salary range: $22.47 - $29.09 / Hourly
Must hold a valid driver’s license, have an appropriate driving record, and enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Note: Senate Bill 525, signed into law in October 2023, sets a new minimum wage of $23/hour for nonexempt healthcare workers, effective June 1, 2024, with salary thresholds for exempt employees also adjusted. Healthcare workers are defined as those involved in patient care-related services supporting healthcare delivery in UCLA Health facilities.
