Job summary

Allied Universal in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to manage access at a retail site and keep entry points secure. You will monitor doors, verify credentials, and patrol the area with a focus on customer service.

This role offers weekly pay, weekend shifts, and on-the-job training. A high school diploma is required, and a background check and drug screen are part of the process. Driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Document incidents and access-control activities in required reports and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

Pay Rate: $14.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas of the location.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
