The role requires unarmed duties with a pay rate of $18.57 per hour, full-time scheduling, and adherence to site policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct unarmed patrols of building interiors, loading docks, parking areas, retail spaces, and perimeters.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and delivery credentials, and keep logs of incidents and activities.
• Communicate with site personnel, management, vendors, and emergency responders to report concerns and support operations.

As a Security Officer Distribution Center Building Patrol in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting busy distribution and retail locations. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at distribution, warehouse, retail, and/or industrial locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, loading docks, parking areas, retail spaces, warehouse floors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and delivery credentials, and maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, management, vendors, and emergency responders to report concerns and support orderly operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
