Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Dispatch Security Officer in Rochester, NY. This part-time role involves monitoring communications, coordinating responses to security events, and maintaining access control and badge operations at a critical aerospace/defense site.

You will support incident response, document actions, and uphold a professional, secure environment with strong customer service. A DoD Secret clearance and compliance steps are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; a valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm notifications, and communications systems; document, prioritize, and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly; coordinate communications with site contacts and emergency responders; maintain incident records.
• Maintain dispatch logs and incident reports; communicate relevant information to supervisors and on-site personnel.
• Help deter unauthorized activity by monitoring systems and reporting suspicious conditions or equipment issues.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor incoming calls, radio traffic, alarm notifications, and communications systems; document, prioritize, and dispatch appropriate personnel in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinate communications with site contacts and/or emergency responders, and maintain accurate incident records.
• Maintain dispatch logs, activity reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to supervisors and on-site personnel.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring assigned systems and reporting suspicious conditions, access concerns, and/or equipment issues in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
