Job summary

TriCorps is seeking a Security Officer in Washington, DC to monitor facilities, assist visitors, and maintain a secure environment. The role requires a valid DC SO license, driver’s license, and CPR certification, with a focus on proactive observation and professional service.

Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid vacation and sick days.

Qualifications

• Valid DC Security Officer (SO) license required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facilities and designated areas to detect and deter irregular or unusual activity.
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Secure premises by patrolling property and maintaining visibility to deter unauthorized activity.
• Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and disturbances, maintaining composure in high-stress situations.
• Observe, report, and prevent incidents by maintaining a consistent security presence.
• Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of all personnel and property.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent TriCorps’ values of professionalism and integrity.
• Support management and client directives to maintain consistent, high-quality service.
