Job summary

TriCorps is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect people and property in Virginia locations including Fairfax, Arlington, and Alexandria. The role requires an active Virginia DCJS Armed Security registration with firearm endorsement and current AED/CPR/First Aid certification, plus at least one year of related experience.

Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position offers competitive pay and benefits, with opportunities to advance in a growing security

Qualifications

• Active Virginia DCJS Armed Security registration with firearm endorsement.
• Current AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in law enforcement, armed security, or the military.
• Ability to monitor and control access to buildings and patrol premises.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access to buildings and ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Maintain professional security presence and protect people and property.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols and report safety or security issues.
• Write detailed daily activity and incident reports.
• Escort personnel when required and coordinate with authorities as needed.
