Securitas US Business Unit seeks a Security Officer — Full Time in Peoria, IL to safeguard personnel and property. The role requires vigilance, communication, and incident response to maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities include access control, patrols, monitoring surveillance, and rapid response to incidents. A HS diploma, driver's license, and strong tech skills are required; pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Above-average computer/technology skills.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide excellent customer service.

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, and entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
