Job summary

Allied Universal in Aurora, IL is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening required, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the data center location, surrounding retail areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of visitor and contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
