Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Credential Verification in Albuquerque, NM to monitor access points, verify credentials, conduct patrols, and remain visible to deter security incidents at a technology/media location. You’ll deliver excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks will be conducted.
• Drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access activity.
• Respond to incidents and escalate issues through proper channels.
• Conduct regular patrols around the site and perimeter.
• Communicate with site contacts and leadership about unusual activity or maintenance concerns.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and media location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document access activity to help support security-related operations and/or restricted area protocols.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues through proper channels as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to doors, gates, loading areas, parking areas, and other access-sensitive locations.
• Communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding unusual activity, maintenance concerns affecting access control, and/or policy-related questions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
