Overview

The Security Officer’s main function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets. This position is also responsible for Courier Service to and from the Golden Nugget Casino-Las Vegas to deliver and pick up various supplies, packages merchandise, documents and linens to and from vendors.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Requirements Include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the safety and welfare of all guests and employees.

• Responsible for maintaining order and keeping the peace on the property.

• Perform area-based security patrols in assigned areas throughout the property.

• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees. Provide friendly and professional customer service.

• Exercise good judgment in solving problems and resolution of guest issues.

• Provide medical assistance to persons in need, including First Aid and CPR when necessary.

• Uphold and enforce gaming regulations, company policies, and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.

• Read, interpret, and analyze security reports and other company documents daily.

• Based on location, may be required to conduct investigations into a variety of internal and external incidents and create detailed reports to reflect findings. Accurate record keeping skills.

• Monitor incidents resulting in loss and investigate to determine the source of the loss.

• Work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the operation, including nights and weekends when necessary.

• Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.

• This position requires standing or walking for long periods of time.

• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors/Manager.

• Based on location, may be required to perform legal detainments when it is legal to do so.

• At times, may be responsible for verifying casino guests are of legal age before entering any gaming areas.

• Responsible for loading, transporting and delivering goods for the company to designated routes and timeframes.

• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 to 100 plus pounds at a time, following proper safety and lifting protocols.

• Must have the ability to use hand truck/dolly to load/unload various supplies, packages, linens and other deliverables.
• Must be able to run local errands picking up supplies, packages, correspondence as directed.

Qualifications

• One year or more of law enforcement, or security experience (preferred).

• American Red Cross or Equivalent Adult First Aid/CPR Certification or are able to obtain one upon hire.

• Have or are able to obtain any gaming license that may be required.

• Valid Driver's License.
• Safe and Efficient Driving Record.

• Team Player with a guest first attitude.
