Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for the Corporate Office Access Control in Melville, NY. You will serve clients and safeguard facilities in a manufacturing/industrial setting, monitoring entrances and maintaining security protocols.

This full-time role offers a night schedule with a pay rate of $17.58 per hour. You will conduct patrols, document incidents, and support a secure, welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen will be required to the extent permitted by law.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific procedures and access-control protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain logs of visitors and contractors.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation and share relevant information with supervisors.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records while communicating relevant security-related information to supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
