Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer for Corporate Freight Elevator Patrol in New York. This full-time, unarmed role involves patrolling, assisting tenants and visitors, and maintaining a safe environment at a commercial real estate location.

You will monitor access, respond to incidents, and prepare logs and reports for management. A NY Security Guard License and a high school diploma are required, with background checks

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 18+ (21+ for armed roles).
• Background investigation required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and management per site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to the property and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate personnel and responders.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports for property management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer - Corporate Freight Elevator Patrol, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or property concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to property management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
