Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Licensing requirements subject to law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and site policies within a financial institution.
• Respond to incidents, alarm activations, and critical situations calmly following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular/random patrols to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization, and document visitor activity.
• Report suspicious activity or hazards to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer - Corporate Bank Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Pay Rate: $21.52 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Wed 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Thur 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarm activations, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and activity documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting suspicious activity, facility concerns, and security-related hazards to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
