Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part Time Security Officer in New York, NY to serve government locations and clients. You will provide courteous customer service, perform post orders, and maintain a visible security presence during scheduled shifts on Fri and Sat evenings.

Minimum requirements include a New York State Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, age 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a HS diploma, and pass

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security‑related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 07:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor and vehicle activity, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
