Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Officer - Commercial Office (Part Time Enhanced) to provide reliable security for a designated site while offering stable hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $33.70 per hour with a Day/Evening schedule (DayTime, Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM). The role includes fixed anchor shifts, an earn-more program, and responsibility for guarding the premises, responding to incidents, and reporting as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transit facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, platforms, entrances, perimeters, and adjacent areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support the orderly movement of passengers and authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Pay Rate: $33.70 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
