Allied Universal® in New York, NY is seeking a part-time Security Officer – Enhanced to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site. You will support tenants and staff, perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our platform.

The role offers a $(17.25–18.25) per hour pay rate, part-time schedule, and the potential to scale hours up to 40 per week on a flexible basis.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while following site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site policies, maintaining a professional presence to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate observations to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation related to security operations.

As a Security Officer Commercial Facility Part Time Patrol Integrity in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 - $18.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel while carrying out site‑specific procedures and emergency response activities.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized activity.


• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.


• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation related to security‑related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
