Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible - Armed)

Location: Independence, MO

Schedule: 4:30 am to 1 pm, Monday to Saturday

Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour

Site Details: Large manufacturing facility with 50% foot patrols and 50% front desk reception

Required Skills: Comfort with computer systems, AI tools, two-way radios, and physical foot patrols

Requirements: Active driver's license issued at least 1 year ago

Role Overview: As an Armed Cleared Security Officer, you will be entrusted with sensitive information and tasked with protecting personnel and property. You will receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols relevant to your clearance level, supporting your professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure safety and security
• Greet and escort visitors and contractors at secure entry points
• Follow site-specific protocols and report safety concerns or security breaches
• Respond to alarms and act as a first responder in emergencies

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
• State or local licensing requirements as applicable
• At least 3 years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or related field
