Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Cleared Security Officer - Clearance Eligible. The role protects personnel, property, and information, with site-specific training for your clearance level. Pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrolling, greeting and escorting visitors, following post orders, reporting concerns, responding to alarms, and acting as a first responder in emergencies. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and be eligible for DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must possess one or more of the following: 3 years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site; Prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client or security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.

Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible). At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201): Candidates should have experience managing access control systems and issuing badges.
• Alarm Panel Experience (B202): Familiarity with alarm panel operations and monitoring is required.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204): Proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks is essential.
• CPR Certification (B205): Candidates must possess a valid CPR certification.
• Customer Service Experience (B219): A background in customer service is necessary to ensure a positive experience for clients and stakeholders.
• Loss Prevention (B210): Experience in loss prevention strategies and practices is preferred.
• Security Experience - +1 Years (C115): A minimum of one year of security experience is required.
• DoD Security Clearance: Candidates must have or be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
