Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Cleared Security Officer (Unarmed) in Roy, Utah. The role requires a DoD security clearance, DoD-cleared site experience, and strong customer service and communication skills.

You will protect personnel, property, and sensitive information while following site-specific procedures and responding to emergencies. Salary is $23.62 per hour with opportunities for training and growth within a leading global security company.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must possess one or more of the following: Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site; Prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate client-specific sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.

• Valid DL over a year with a clean driving record.

At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
• Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
